A very dear friend of mine passed this along to many of her friends, her son wrote this and it was very enlightening for me personally...

In personal finance, a grace period is defined as the period during which no interest is charged on a credit card. Or, it is the additional period of time a lender or insurance policy issuer provides for a borrower to make payment on a debt without penalty.

Now, let's take a look at the definition of grace. Webster's Dictionary defines grace as divine favor, liking, good will or postponement as of a penalty or obligation; clemency.

The Word of God says in John 1:14 that "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."

Through Jesus Christ, we receive never-ending grace. Much like a grace period, we had a debt that we could not pay and Jesus stepped in and took care of our bill. Instead of us having to make that payment, it was made for us. We faced a penalty, but through God's "divine favor" (grace) we were spared from having to pay for our sins. We have been granted clemency through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. We were once all prisoners, but we were pardoned by a God who loved us so much that he allowed his son to die for us.

It is almost unbelievable how much God loves us. His grace and never-ending favor for His children is truly mind blowing. So remember today that as a child of God, His grace pours down on you. No matter how much you screw up, He forgives you and loves you. His grace is sufficient and His love is never-ending.
